The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the novice is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the traditional confrontation, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
